A man, along with his brothers, allegedly beat his wife to death with an iron rod on suspicion of infidelity in Krishna district. The incident occurred at the residence of the victim, D Lakshmi Prasanna (30), in Chowdarypeta, Pamarru town, where she was living with her paramour.
According to Pamarru Sub-Inspector K Srinivas, the main accused, identified as T Murali Krishna (40), and three others arrived at Prasanna's residence and struck her on the head with an iron rod, causing instantaneous death. The attack happened in front of her two children.
Upon receiving information, Pamarru police rushed to the spot and sent the body to a local government hospital for autopsy. The accused were taken into custody.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the deceased had left her husband's home in Nuzvidu about five months ago, along with her two children, and was living with her paramour. A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway.
