The accused allegedly held a 16-year-old girl at knifepoint inside a clothing store, creating a scene of terror before being subdued by a swift police response.

The survivor, a minor, had visited the shop with a friend, who is also underage. According to police officials, the accused, reportedly under the influence of liquor and wrapped in a shawl, suddenly pulled out a knife. He then held the weapon to the girl's throat, threatening her life.
In a brazen demand, the man turned his focus to the shop owner, demanding a ransom of Rs 1 lakh and a motorcycle. The sudden attack and the ensuing commotion inside the store sent shockwaves through the immediate area.
