In a brazen act of violence that has sent shockwaves through the region, a man was brutally hacked to death right outside a police station in Andhra Pradesh's Sri Sathya Sai district. The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday, with police personnel present at the scene.
The Gruesome Attack Near the Police Station
The shocking event unfolded around 3 am on Monday near the Tanakallu police station. The deceased has been identified as Eshwarappa, a resident of Marparivandlapalli village. According to authorities, the murder was the violent culmination of a dispute stemming from a suspected extramarital relationship.
Police revealed that Eshwarappa was allegedly involved in an affair with the wife of one of the accused, Hari from nearby Rangepalli. The situation escalated four days prior to the murder when Eshwarappa reportedly left with the woman. Following this, Hari filed a missing person's complaint at the Thanakallu police station.
Police Action and the Fatal Ambush
Acting on the complaint, police teams traced Eshwarappa to the Gudur area in Nellore district. He was brought to the Thanakallu police station for questioning around midnight. The fatal attack took place as Eshwarappa was being brought in a police vehicle.
Hari and his associate, Chinnappa, who were lying in wait near the police station gate, launched a sudden assault. They attacked Eshwarappa with deadly weapons, including an axe and a sickle, killing him on the spot. Police personnel at the station immediately intervened and managed to apprehend both accused, taking them into custody.
