According to officials, the mother discovered the assault upon returning home from a market, noticing visible injuries on her child. Superintendent of Police Kamaldeep Goyal formed a dedicated team to track down the suspect. Demonstrating efficiency, the team located and arrested the accused, Pankaj Kumar, who hails from Navanagar village in Bihar's Muzaffarpur district but was living on rent in the same neighbourhood as the victim.
