Lucknow Police Sub-Inspector Succumbs to Injuries After Motorcycle Crash
A 59-year-old sub-inspector serving with the Lucknow police force tragically lost his life in a late-night motorcycle accident on Monday. The incident occurred near King George's Medical University (KGMU) in Lucknow, with police confirming the details on Wednesday.
Details of the Fatal Accident
The deceased, identified as Shiv Ram, was a resident of Mahoba who was currently posted at the Kaiserbagh police station. He was returning to his rented accommodation in the Thakurganj area after completing his duty when the accident took place.
According to police reports, the motorcycle allegedly went out of control and crashed into a divider on the road near KGMU. The impact resulted in severe head injuries for the sub-inspector.
Emergency Response and Medical Treatment
Passers-by at the scene immediately alerted the police and assisted in shifting the injured officer to the trauma centre at King George's Medical University. Despite receiving prompt medical attention, Shiv Ram succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
SHO Kaiserbagh Anjani Kumar Mishra confirmed that the body was sent for post-mortem examination and subsequently handed over to the grieving family members.

The tragedy has left a significant void in the family of the deceased police officer. "Shiv Ram is survived by his wife and 9 children, including 4 daughters and 5 sons," stated SHO Mishra, highlighting the profound loss experienced by the family.
