The convicted persons are Sanjay Parihar alias Rinku, Abhinav Tiwari alias Chinku, Ram Ji alias Radhey Kashyap, and Shubham. All four were apprehended with firearms linked to the Bikru incident, marking a crucial step in the judicial process following the violent events of 2020.

Sentencing Details and Judicial Proceedings

The court imposed rigorous sentences on the convicts. Ram Ji and Sanjay Parihar have been sentenced to seven years of rigorous imprisonment, accompanied by fines of Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000, respectively. In contrast, Shubham and Abhinav Tiwari received sentences of two and a half years of rigorous imprisonment, each with a fine of Rs 5,000. According to the prosecution, led by district government counsel Dilip Awasthi and additional district government counsel Dinesh Agarwal, the accused were prosecuted and punished under the Arms Act, with the trial revealing that except for Sanjay, the other three were granted bail during the proceedings.

Background of the Bikru Case and Arrests

The Bikru case traces back to July 2, 2020, when a deadly encounter occurred between police forces and gangster Vikas Dubey in Bikary village under the Chobeypur police circle. This violent clash resulted in the tragic deaths of eight police officers, including circle officer Devendra Mishra, who were killed by Dubey and his associates. Following the encounter, Vikas Dubey absconded but was later shot dead in another police encounter. On March 21, 2020, the Panki police arrested the four convicts—Sanjay from Karia Jhala in Mangalpur, Abhinav Tiwari from Dharnampur, Ram Ji from Tulsi Nagar, and Shubham from Mangalpur—from the Bhauti underpass.

Sanjay was found in possession of a carbine, while Ram Ji had a Springfield USA-made semi-automatic rifle with 10 cartridges, a country-made 12-bore gun, and 25 cartridges, along with cartridges for AK-47 and 7.62 mm arms. Shubham was apprehended with a revolver and 40 cartridges, a 32-bore pistol, a 38-bore revolver, and a country-made pistol with additional cartridges. All four individuals are also accused in the broader Bikru case, highlighting the severity of their involvement in the criminal activities associated with Vikas Dubey's gang.
