Jaipur Police Thwart ATM Break-In, Arrest Accused After Intense Chase
Police in Jaipur successfully prevented an attempted ATM theft early Monday morning. The incident took place at a Bank of Baroda ATM booth near Dadi Ka Phatak in the Khora Bisal area.
Midnight Attempt Foiled by Alert Constable
The drama unfolded around 2:30 am in Nangal Jaisa Bohra. A young man entered the ATM booth with clear intentions to steal cash. He used a large stone and two screwdrivers to damage the upper part of the machine.
At approximately 3 am, Constable Vishnu Kumar spotted the suspect. Kumar was part of an Emergency Response vehicle team patrolling the area. He saw the man running out of the booth and immediately sensed something was wrong.
The police team gave chase right away. After running nearly 200 meters, the accused tripped and fell on the road. This allowed the police to catch him initially. Officers recovered the stone and screwdrivers from the ATM booth, confirming the attempted theft.

The situation did not end there. After being detained, the accused made another bold attempt to escape. He pushed the policemen and started running once more.
Police pursued him for another 700 meters before finally apprehending him. During this second chase, Constable Vishnu Kumar sustained a minor leg injury. His quick action and persistence were crucial in capturing the suspect.
