Indore Police Identify Suspect in Petrol Pump Employee Death, Launch Intensive Manhunt
Police in Indore have made a significant breakthrough in the investigation into the tragic death of a petrol pump employee in Sanwer, identifying a suspect and launching a comprehensive manhunt to apprehend him. Investigators have revealed that the suspect is a resident of the Gauri Nagar area within Heera Nagar.
Vehicle Tracing Leads to Suspect Identification
DSP Umakanat Choudhary provided crucial details about the investigation, stating that authorities utilized CCTV footage to locate the registered owner of the vehicle involved in the fatal incident. However, during their inquiries, police discovered that this individual had sold the vehicle to the suspect approximately one year prior to the incident.
The suspect has been identified as Aryan, son of Punendra Tanwar, who resides in Gauri Nagar. While Aryan remains at large with the car connected to the case, his father has been detained by police for intensive questioning regarding his son's whereabouts and potential involvement.
Details of the Tragic Incident
The fatal episode occurred in the early morning hours of March 11 at the Shivlal Patel and Sons petrol pump, situated near Charpai Dhaba in Kajlana village. According to police reports, the incident began when the driver of a grey-colored vehicle allegedly fled the petrol pump after having diesel filled into his car but refusing to make payment for the fuel.
Petrol pump employee Rohit Parmar courageously attempted to prevent the vehicle from leaving the premises. During this effort, his hand became trapped in the car window as the driver began to depart. Despite this dangerous situation, police state that the driver accelerated the vehicle, dragging Rohit for a considerable distance before he fell from the moving car.
Tragically, Rohit Parmar later succumbed to the severe injuries he sustained during this violent incident, marking a devastating loss for his family and community.
Investigation Methodology and Suspect Movements
During their thorough investigation, police meticulously analyzed CCTV footage from multiple locations along the suspect's escape route. This forensic examination enabled authorities to trace the vehicle's movement toward Hiranagar via the MR-10 route, providing crucial directional information for the ongoing search.
Officials have revealed additional details about the suspect's activities surrounding the incident. The accused reportedly went out with friends on the day of the fatal episode and fled immediately after the tragic events unfolded. Furthermore, on Thursday morning, he allegedly learned through media reports that police were actively searching for him in connection with the case.
This media exposure reportedly prompted the suspect to leave his home with the vehicle and go into hiding, significantly complicating police efforts to locate and apprehend him. The investigation continues as authorities pursue all available leads to bring the suspect to justice and provide closure for the victim's family.
