Hisar Tragedy: Man Kills Wife, Then Hangs Self in Bhatla Village
Hisar: Man kills wife, commits suicide in Bhatla village

A horrific incident of domestic violence culminated in a double tragedy in Bhatla village of Hansi, Hisar, on Monday morning. A man allegedly murdered his wife with a sharp-edged weapon before taking his own life by hanging.

Couple Found Dead in Separate Locations

The deceased have been identified as Rakesh, aged 30, and his wife Seema, aged 28. According to villagers, the morning calm was shattered by screams emanating from the couple's house. The screams, however, stopped abruptly, prompting concerned neighbours to investigate.

Upon entering, the neighbours made a grisly discovery: Seema was found lying in a pool of blood, having suffered fatal wounds. Rakesh was nowhere to be seen inside the residential quarters.

Search Leads to Cattle Shed

Alarmed residents expanded their search and checked the cattle shed on the premises. There, they found Rakesh's body hanging from a rope. The police were immediately alerted and a team rushed to the spot.

Officials informed forensic experts, who conducted a thorough examination of both scenes and collected crucial evidence. The bodies of both Rakesh and Seema were subsequently sent for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact causes of death.

History of Marital Discord and Ongoing Probe

Preliminary police investigations point towards a history of frequent domestic quarrels between the couple. Rakesh and Seema had tied the knot in 2019 and were parents to two young daughters, whose future now hangs in the balance following this devastating event.

Authorities noted that Seema originally hailed from Matalouda village in the Barwala subdivision. Her family has been informed about the tragic incident, and police are in the process of recording statements from relatives and villagers.

The Hansi police have confirmed that a comprehensive investigation is underway to piece together the exact sequence of events and the motives that led to this extreme step. Further legal proceedings will follow based on the findings of the post-mortem report and the evidence gathered.
