The senior leadership of the Haryana Police is set for a major strategic huddle this Sunday. Top officers from across the state will converge at the Haryana Police Academy in Madhuban for an intensive brainstorming session aimed at learning from the past year and gearing up for future challenges.
Consolidating Lessons, Charting the Future
The three-hour session, to be chaired by the Director General of Police, O P Singh, will bring together the entire top brass on a single platform. This includes ADGPs, IGs, Police Commissioners, range DIGs, and Superintendents of Police from all districts. The primary objective is to consolidate operational learnings from 2025 and establish a clear, actionable crime-control and communication strategy for the coming year, 2026.
An official spokesperson stated that the meeting will focus on identifying tactical improvements and policy innovations. These will be based on a thorough analysis of field experiences, emerging criminal trends, and the evolving landscape of policing challenges.
Key Agenda: From Narcotics to Cyber Networks
The agenda for the high-level meeting is comprehensive and action-oriented. It promises an in-depth review of several critical areas threatening state security and public order.
The session will scrutinise organised crime, with specific attention on the menace of extortion calls and contract killings. Controlling the narcotics trade, by dismantling organised drug trafficking networks, is another top priority.
Given the digital age's threats, cybercrime prevention and detection will be a major point of discussion. The police leadership will also work on mapping crime hotspots and security risks across the state to enable more targeted interventions.
The meeting will review significant crime patterns that defined 2025. This includes assessing the situation regarding terror cells and radical elements in parts of the Mewat region, as well as incidents involving grenades in select areas.
Data-Driven Reviews and Strategic Directives
Officials informed that the session will outline plans for an integrated intelligence grid. This system will leverage both human intelligence and digital inputs to create a more robust security apparatus. District SPs are expected to present data-backed reviews of crime hotspot trends and the impact of local interventions in their jurisdictions.
Following the brainstorming, DGP O P Singh is expected to issue strategic directives that will align Haryana's 2026 policing priorities. The focus will be three-dimensional: achieving excellence in law enforcement, fostering better institutional synergy, and building greater trust with the people.
The insights and decisions from the Madhuban conclave will directly feed into the state's annual policing plan. They will form the foundational basis for setting operational targets and performance metrics across all districts, aiming to make policing more proactive, intelligence-driven, and people-centric.
