Gurgaon Hotel Gang-Rape: Police Head Constable Among Accused in Widow's Job Scam Case
A shocking case of alleged gang-rape has emerged from Gurgaon, where a 25-year-old widow was reportedly drugged and assaulted by two men, including a police head constable, in a hotel in DLF Phase-2. The incident, which came to light after an FIR was registered on Wednesday at the DLF Phase-2 police station, involves promises of a government job under the widow quota, turning into a horrific ordeal for the victim.
Details of the Alleged Crime
According to the complaint, the victim, a resident of Delhi, first encountered the accused head constable, Satish Kumar, on a DTC bus approximately six months ago. Satish introduced himself as a Haryana Police personnel and falsely claimed that his wife was a judge in Palwal with political connections. Over time, he gained her trust through regular communication and later offered to assist her in securing a job as a cook in the police department under the widow quota.
On July 29, 2025, Satish allegedly called the woman to Gurgaon, instructing her to bring her educational documents. He picked her up in his car and took her to a hotel in DLF Phase 2, where he deceitfully claimed ownership of the property. Upon arrival, the victim found another man, identified as Lambu Khan, already present in the room.
The Alleged Assault and Threats
The FIR states that the accused offered the woman tea, which was allegedly spiked, causing her to become drowsy. When she attempted to leave, the two men allegedly raped her. The victim further claimed that the assault was filmed by the accused. In a chilling revelation, she alleged that Satish informed her that his associate, Lambu Khan, was involved in multiple criminal cases, including murder, rape, cyber fraud, and robbery, adding to her trauma and fear.
Legal Proceedings and Investigation
After the incident, the victim approached the Delhi Cantt police station, leading to the registration of a Zero FIR on February 1 under sections 70(1) (gang rape), 123 (causing hurt by administering poison), and 3(5) (act done by several persons) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The case was subsequently transferred to the DLF Phase-2 police station in Gurgaon, as the crime occurred within its jurisdiction. Officials have confirmed that further action will be taken based on the ongoing investigation.
The victim's identity has not been disclosed to protect her privacy, in accordance with Supreme Court directives for cases related to sexual assault.
