Delhi Police Apprehends Key Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Member in High-Profile Double Murder Investigation

In a significant breakthrough, the Delhi Police on Wednesday arrested Bobby Kabutar, identified as a crucial member of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The arrest is directly linked to the chilling double murder of two brothers that occurred in Delhi last year, shedding new light on the syndicate's operations.

Seven-Year Fugitive Captured in Major Police Operation

Bobby Kabutar had been successfully evading law enforcement for an astonishing seven years, remaining a wanted figure in multiple criminal cases across the region. Police officials confirmed that Kabutar was allegedly a close associate of the currently jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and played an active role in the gang's extensive criminal network.

According to police statements, Kabutar's responsibilities within the gang included gathering critical ground-level intelligence ahead of high-profile killings. Investigators revealed that his involvement extended to conducting reconnaissance prior to the murder of popular Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, indicating his significant role in the gang's violent activities.

Legal Proceedings and Defense Arguments

Speaking to ANI, the lawyer representing the accused presented a contrasting narrative, firmly stating that his clients have no connection whatsoever with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The legal counsel claimed complete ignorance about the firing incident, emphasizing their willingness to cooperate with authorities.

"The police sought custody from the Court, asserting they had a role to play in the firing incident. The accused have no knowledge of what has occurred... The wanted accused, Lonkar, was in contact with the mastermind. Someone else fired the shots," the lawyer explained during the proceedings.

The defense further clarified that the arrested individuals are not related to each other and were apprehended following meticulous analysis of CCTV footage from the area. "We are ready to cooperate. After considering all arguments, the Court has granted a four-day police custody... The accused have no links with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang," the lawyer added.

Background of the Violent Incident

The case traces back to a violent episode where assailants fired four rounds outside the residence of a prominent Bollywood film director. Following the shooting, heavy police security was immediately deployed around the director's residential tower in Mumbai's Juhu area, highlighting the seriousness of the threat.

This arrest represents a crucial development in ongoing investigations into organized crime networks operating across multiple states. Delhi Police continues to pursue other gang members while building a comprehensive case against those already in custody.
