Tragic Accident on GT Road Claims Life of Six-Year-Old Girl
A devastating road accident on Grand Trunk Road near Khanna has resulted in the death of a six-year-old girl and left eight members of her family injured, two of them seriously. The incident occurred when the family's car was struck by a speeding truck after stopping to change a flat tire.
Details of the Fatal Collision
According to sources, the family from Patiala was returning from a wedding in Ludhiana when their vehicle encountered a deep pothole on GT Road, causing a tire to go flat. The driver pulled over to the roadside to replace the tire. As he was working, a truck approaching from behind crashed into the stationary car with tremendous force.
The impact was so severe that the car overturned completely. Emergency responders confirmed that six-year-old Navdeep Kaur died instantly at the scene from her injuries.
Injuries and Narrow Escapes
Among the injured family members, Sharanjit Kaur and Dimple sustained serious wounds and required immediate medical attention. The remaining six individuals suffered minor injuries but were all transported to nearby hospitals for treatment and observation.
Remarkably, one adult and a young child managed to escape with only minor scratches, narrowly avoiding more severe harm in the chaotic aftermath of the collision.
