Ghaziabad Man Jumps to Death from 15-Storey Building in Raj Nagar Extension
In a tragic incident in Ghaziabad, a 40-year-old man allegedly jumped to his death from a 15-storey building at the Blue Moon society in Raj Nagar Extension. The police reported that the man's body was first discovered around 9:15 am on Monday by a security guard at tower E of the society.
The guard immediately raised an alarm, prompting the police to be informed. A team swiftly arrived at the scene and transported the body to a nearby hospital for further examination.
Details of the Incident
According to ACP Nandgram Ziauddin Ahmad, the deceased was a logistics manager employed at a Dubai-based company located in Noida. He had been residing with his parents in an apartment on the 12th floor of tower C within the same society.
On the morning of the incident, around 9 am, the man reportedly went to the basement, presumably to leave for work. However, he parked his car in the basement of tower E and then used a lift to access the terrace. The tower comprises 15 floors, and due to insufficient CCTV camera coverage, it remains unclear whether he jumped from the terrace or from the balcony of another floor.
Investigation and Personal Background
ACP Ahmad stated that no written complaint has been filed in the matter yet. The police are currently reviewing his call details as part of the ongoing investigation. The man had been married for approximately five years but had separated from his wife three years ago. His father revealed that the couple's divorce was finalized six months prior to the incident.
Family members and acquaintances described the man as someone who was typically engaged in his work. However, they noted that his mental health had been a cause for concern in recent times. His father expressed that he was suffering from depression and had repeatedly refused his parents' requests to remarry.
The police are continuing their probe into the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate event, emphasizing the need for better security measures and mental health awareness in residential complexes.
