Fourth Suspect Apprehended in Dhule Wedding Ceremony Triple Homicide

The Dhule police have made a significant breakthrough in a shocking case of violence that erupted during a wedding ceremony, arresting a fourth suspect late on Thursday night. This development follows the brutal murder of three individuals by their relatives earlier in the afternoon at Pimpalner village in Sakri taluka.

Arrest Based on Social Media Threats

The accused, identified as Anil Goswami (32) from Songadh in Tapi district of Gujarat, was detained after police discovered threatening posts on social media platforms. Inspector Kiran Barge provided crucial details, stating, "The fourth accused was picked up from Songadh after he put up messages on social media warning the bride's family of dire consequences. In these posts, he explicitly told the bride's relatives to be careful and watch out for developments on February 17, 18, and 19, when people from his region would arrive in Pimpalner."

Escalation of an Old Feud

According to police reports, the bride's relatives had initially appealed for peace and harmony upon seeing the alarming social media threats. However, the situation deteriorated rapidly when three men from Songadh arrived in Pimpalner. An argument ensued over a longstanding feud, and despite repeated requests to maintain calm, tensions escalated violently.

The officer elaborated, "The three men attacked at least five residents of Sakri taluka with small knives, resulting in three fatalities and two serious injuries. The suspects attempted to flee to Gujarat but were intercepted and brought back to Dhule for investigation."

Heightened Security and Legal Proceedings

Due to the intense tension and security concerns surrounding the case, all four accused were produced before the local court via videoconference. A senior officer explained, "The situation remains highly volatile regarding the accused, so it was decided to present the suspects virtually. All have been remanded to police custody for the next four days as the investigation continues."

The police are now focusing on gathering additional evidence and understanding the full scope of the feud that led to this tragic incident at what should have been a joyous wedding celebration.
