In a shocking incident in Gumla, four individuals were arrested on Thursday for the abduction and gang-rape of two minor girls. The crime occurred on Wednesday night, with police confirming the details on Friday. Authorities have also seized the four-wheeler vehicle used by the accused to commit the heinous act.

Details of the Incident

The incident unfolded late on Wednesday night when the two minor girls, accompanied by two boys, were returning from a wedding. The four accused, who were also attending the same event, forcibly made the girls and boys enter their car. During the confrontation, one of the boys managed to escape, but the other three victims were taken against their will to Balaghat.

At Balaghat, the two minor girls were subjected to a gang-rape by the four accused. After the assault, the girls were able to escape from the location. The boy who had been taken with them could not flee, so the accused returned him to the village from where he was originally abducted.

Police Action and Arrests

Meanwhile, the boy who had escaped earlier immediately alerted the police. Acting swiftly on the information, law enforcement officials arrested the four accused in the early hours of Thursday. The officer-in-charge of the concerned police station stated, "Both the victims are minors and were gang-raped by four persons. The four accused were sent to judicial custody on Thursday."
