Tragic Accident Claims Life of Five-Year-Old Boy in Chatra Village
A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Parsouni village under the Itkhori police station limits of Chatra district late on Tuesday, resulting in the death of a five-year-old boy. The child, identified as Mohammad Arham, was killed on the spot after being struck by a speeding motorcycle.
Details of the Fatal Incident
Arham, a resident of Karma village in the Chouparan block of Hazaribag district, had arrived at his maternal grandparents' house in Parsouni earlier in the day. According to reports, he was playing outside the house when the accident occurred around 10 pm. The speeding motorcycle hit him, leading to immediate fatal injuries.
Police Response and Arrest
A police team led by Abhishek Singh, the officer-in-charge of Itkhori police station, swiftly reached the spot upon receiving information about the incident. The authorities identified the accused biker as Manish Saw (24) and promptly arrested him. The motorcycle involved in the accident was also seized by the police as part of the investigation.
Investigation and Legal Proceedings
Officer Singh stated that the body was sent to Chatra Sadar Hospital for a postmortem examination on Wednesday morning. He added, "We are questioning Manish to understand the circumstances of this accident and determine the further course of action." The police are conducting a thorough investigation to ascertain the exact cause and any potential negligence involved.
