Jamshedpur Police Nab Five in Dual Robbery Bust
In a significant breakthrough, Jamshedpur police have successfully cracked two separate loot cases with the arrest of five individuals involved in these criminal activities. The arrests were made on Monday and Tuesday, bringing relief to the affected businesses and residents.
Inside Job Uncovered in Construction Company Heist
The first case dates back to November 10 when bike-borne criminals executed a daring daylight robbery at the office of P K Construction located in Savitri Complex under Birsanagar police station limits. According to police investigations, what initially appeared as an external robbery turned out to be an inside job masterminded by an employee of the company.
Kumar Shivashish, SP (City), revealed on Tuesday that Ajit Behera (26), an employee of the construction company, was the mastermind behind the entire operation. "He carefully planned the robbery with three accomplices," the SP stated during the press briefing.
Police have already arrested Ajit Behera and Babu Sardar on Monday, while intensive search operations are underway to apprehend the remaining suspects Ajay Singh and Suraj Karua. In a surprising twist, the police investigation revealed that the actual amount stolen was Rs 4.50 lakh, significantly lower than the Rs 10.25 lakh initially claimed by the company owner.
Gold Theft Gang Busted in Coordinated Operation
In the second case, Jamshedpur police conducted a successful operation on Monday that led to the arrest of three members of a criminal gang involved in gold theft. The police team recovered stolen gold items valued at approximately Rs 2.50 lakh from the accused.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Syed Azhar Imam (24), Md Asadullah (21), and Sameer Khan (21). All three suspects are residents of areas falling under Jugsalai and Mango police station jurisdictions, indicating their local operations in the region.
Police authorities have confirmed that both investigations are ongoing, with efforts focused on recovering the remaining stolen property and identifying any additional accomplices who might be involved in these criminal networks.
Strengthened Security Measures Announced
Following these incidents, Jamshedpur police have announced enhanced security protocols for business establishments, particularly in commercial complexes. The successful resolution of these cases demonstrates the effectiveness of coordinated police work and technological surveillance in combating urban crime.
Local business owners have welcomed the arrests and expressed confidence in the police force's ability to maintain law and order in the industrial city. The police have urged citizens to report any suspicious activities immediately to help prevent such incidents in the future.
