Firozabad Property Dispute Turns Deadly: Father Kills 12-Year-Old Son, Hides Body in Trunk
A shocking case of filicide has emerged from the Makkanpur area of Firozabad, where a 44-year-old man allegedly hacked his 12-year-old son to death with a sickle and concealed the body in a trunk. The gruesome incident, which occurred on Monday, was reportedly driven by a bitter property dispute and deep-seated suspicions that the boy was not his biological child.
Police Investigation Uncovers Horrific Details
Police officials stated that they received a tip-off from a woman named Urmila about a murder at her residence. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered bloodstains inside the house. During a thorough search, the team made a grim find: the body of Urmila's son, Mayank, was located inside a locked trunk. Authorities promptly registered a case under BNS sections 103(1) for murder and 238 for destroying evidence against the boy's father, identified as Rajesh Kumar Rajput.
Background of Marital Discord and Alcohol Addiction
Makkhanpur SHO Chaman Lal Sharma provided further context, revealing that the accused had been married to Urmila for approximately 22 years. Rajput was described as being addicted to alcohol, which frequently led to domestic disputes within the household. Adding to the tension, the house was registered in Mayank's name, with Rajput serving as the guardian. This arrangement reportedly exacerbated the already strained family relations.
"Due to prolonged suspicion about the child's parentage and ongoing marital discord, the accused planned to kill his son and wife," SHO Sharma explained. The accused allegedly executed his plan when the child returned home from school and other family members were absent.
Brutal Execution and Attempted Cover-Up
According to police reports, Rajput inflicted between 25 to 30 blows on Mayank's head, face, and body with a sickle, resulting in instant death. In a desperate attempt to conceal the crime, he cleaned the house and was in the process of hiding the body in a trunk when Urmila unexpectedly arrived home. She reportedly saw the blood-stained sickle in his hand, causing Rajput to panic and flee the scene.
Arrest and Recovery of Murder Weapon
DSP Amreesh Kumar confirmed that the accused was arrested on Tuesday. The murder weapon, the sickle used in the horrific attack, was seized from a nearby mustard field. The swift police action has brought a measure of closure to the investigation, though the community remains in shock over the tragic loss of a young life.
This case highlights the devastating consequences of unresolved family conflicts, property disputes, and substance abuse, serving as a grim reminder of the need for intervention in domestic violence situations.
