A tragic incident of dowry harassment has come to light in Bengaluru's Hulimavu area, where a 28-year-old woman died by suicide. The victim, identified as Anjali, was married for three years and had been facing constant harassment from her husband and in-laws for additional dowry.

According to the police, Anjali was found hanging in her bedroom on Monday evening. Her parents, who live in a different part of the city, had received a distressed call from her earlier that day. They rushed to her residence only to find her dead. The couple had a four-year-old son.

The Hulimavu police have registered a case under Section 304B (dowry death) and other relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. The husband, Ravi, and his parents have been taken into custody for questioning. Preliminary investigations reveal that the harassment had escalated in the past few months, with demands for a car and cash.
