Double Murder in Lucknow Village Sparks Police Probe into Harassment and Property Dispute
In a shocking incident, new details have surfaced in the double murder case in Sisendi village, located in the Mohanlalganj area of Lucknow. A 45-year-old woman, Reshma, and her 18-year-old visually impaired son, Shadab, were discovered dead at their residence near the panchayat secretariat late on Monday night. The case has drawn significant attention as authorities investigate potential motives, including harassment and a property dispute.
FIR Filed by Victim's Sister Reveals Disturbing Details
The case was officially registered after the victim's younger sister, Afsana, who resides in Harchandpur Garhi Kanaura in Manak Nagar, lodged a First Information Report (FIR) with the Mohanlalganj police on Tuesday. In her complaint, Afsana provided chilling details about the events leading up to the murders.
She recounted that on Monday, during a phone conversation between her sister Reshma and Reshma's brother-in-law, Shabbu, Reshma mentioned that someone was banging loudly on the door. The call was abruptly disconnected shortly after this alarming statement. Moments later, the family received the devastating news that Reshma and her son had been murdered at their home.
Allegations of Harassment and Property Dispute
Afsana further alleged that a man had behaved inappropriately with Reshma just a few days before the tragic incident. According to her, this individual had expressed his love for Reshma and pressured her to marry him. Reshma had reportedly informed her family members about these unwelcome advances, raising concerns about potential harassment as a motive.
Additionally, Afsana mentioned a prior property and land dispute involving a person named Imran. This conflict has led to suspicions that the murders could be linked either to the harassment or to the property dispute, adding complexity to the investigation.
Police Action and Investigation Underway
Based on Afsana's complaint, the police have registered an FIR under BNS Section 103(1), which pertains to murder, against an unidentified person. A thorough probe is currently underway to uncover the truth behind these heinous crimes.
According to officials, the crime scene revealed grim details. Reshma's body was found in a semi-nude condition near a cot inside the room, while her son Shadab's body was discovered face down in a water trough outside the house. These findings have intensified the investigation as authorities work to piece together the sequence of events and identify the perpetrator.
The community in Sisendi village is in shock, and the police are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in the case. As the investigation progresses, more details are expected to emerge, shedding light on the motives and circumstances surrounding this tragic double murder.
