Delivery Executive Fatally Crushed Under Truck in Gurgaon's Industrial Area
A tragic accident in Gurgaon's Udyog Vihar claimed the life of a 25-year-old delivery executive on Saturday afternoon. The victim, identified as Krishna, a resident of Kanpur who had been working in Gurgaon for several years, was crushed under the rear wheels of a truck after it allegedly took a sudden turn, causing him to lose control of his motorcycle.
Details of the Fatal Incident
The accident occurred around 4:30 PM near Peepal Chowk, a congested intersection in the industrial belt known for heavy traffic of container trucks, vans, and other large vehicles. According to police reports, Krishna was riding his motorcycle behind the truck when it swerved unexpectedly without warning.
An officer stated, "To avoid a collision, he applied the brakes abruptly. The motorcycle skidded and lost balance, throwing him onto the road. Before he could get up, he was tragically caught under the truck's wheels, sustaining critical injuries."
Immediate Response and Legal Action
Passersby quickly alerted the police and assisted in rushing Krishna to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, doctors declared him dead upon arrival. His body was sent for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
Police at the Udyog Vihar station registered a case under sections 281 (rash driving) and 106 (causing death by negligence) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The driver was arrested at the scene, and the truck was seized as part of the investigation.
