Eyewitness Accounts and Co-Workers' Reactions
An eyewitness present nearby at the time of the incident provided chilling details. "I was on duty at the petrol pump when I heard a loud noise. The car was being driven at a speed of 150 km/h, and the driver dragged the victim from one corner to another. The victim died. The accused has been detained by the police. If people drink and drive, such kinds of incidents will continue to happen," he told ANI.
Speaking about the incident, one of Hem Shankar's co-workers said, "The victim used to work with us. He was delivering an order, and a car hit him." Another co-worker added emphatically, "We want justice." Their demands highlight growing concerns about the safety of delivery personnel on Delhi's roads.

Broader Implications for Road Safety
This tragic accident underscores ongoing issues with road safety in urban areas, particularly for vulnerable road users like delivery executives. The high-speed nature of the collision, as described by eyewitnesses, raises questions about enforcement of traffic laws and the need for stricter measures against reckless driving.
The case continues to develop as authorities pursue legal action against the accused, while the victim's colleagues and community mourn his loss and advocate for justice.
