Tragic Murder of 12-Year-Old Boy in Delhi Shocks Community

In a horrifying incident that has sent shockwaves through Northeast Delhi, a 12-year-old boy was allegedly beaten to death by his stepfather using stones and sticks. The brutal attack occurred in the Shastri Park area, with the accused currently on the run as police launch a manhunt to apprehend him.

Disturbing Details of the Crime Emerge

According to police officials, the tragic event unfolded on Thursday morning when authorities received information about a murder at the Shastri Park police station around 9:50 AM. A police team immediately rushed to the scene where they discovered the boy lying unconscious near the Shastri Park chowk loop road.

The victim was quickly transported to Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital for emergency treatment, but medical professionals declared him dead upon arrival. The forensic team was called to the crime scene to collect evidence and establish the precise sequence of events that led to this heartbreaking loss of life.

Family Background and Marital Discord

Police investigations have revealed that the boy's mother had married the accused, an e-rickshaw driver, in 2020 following the death of her first husband. The woman has four children from her previous marriage, and the family had been experiencing significant marital problems and frequent arguments in recent times.

"The couple had been facing persistent marital issues with regular conflicts," explained a police officer involved in the case. "Just five days before this tragic incident, the mother left the family home to stay with her sister following another heated argument with her husband."

The Fateful Day and Alleged Confession Video

Officers detailed that the accused had repeatedly called his wife, insisting she return home, but she refused. On Thursday, the stepfather reportedly picked up both his stepsons from their school in his e-rickshaw and took them to a forested area.

"The accused asked his 15-year-old stepson to wait in the vehicle while he took the younger boy into the forest," an officer stated. "He then allegedly subjected the 12-year-old to repeated assaults with stones and sticks, resulting in fatal injuries."

In a particularly disturbing development, the victim's mother reportedly learned about the incident through a purported video message in which her husband allegedly admitted to the crime. Police sources indicate that in this video, the accused can be heard saying, "Le ja apne bacche ko (Take your child away)." Authorities are currently working to verify the authenticity of this video evidence.

Police Response and Legal Action

The Shastri Park police station has registered a case under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) in connection with this brutal murder. Multiple specialized teams have been formed to identify and trace the accused, who remains at large following the incident.

Police officials have assured that a thorough investigation is underway, with officers examining all available evidence and pursuing all possible leads to bring the perpetrator to justice. The community remains in shock as details of this senseless violence against a child continue to emerge.

This tragic case highlights ongoing concerns about domestic violence and child safety in urban areas, with authorities urging anyone with information about the accused's whereabouts to come forward immediately.
