Decomposed Body of Painter Discovered at Dhar's SPD Ground
In a distressing incident, the decomposed body of a man was found at the SPD ground in Dhar city, Madhya Pradesh. The deceased has been identified as Ravi Singh, a resident of Jetpura, who worked as a painter and had been living separately from his family in the Magajpura area of Dhar for approximately one year.
Discovery and Police Response
Local residents alerted the authorities after noticing a foul smell emanating from the ground, which led to the grim discovery. Kotwali police swiftly responded, with a team reaching the spot upon receiving information about the body.
Police officials reported that the body was in a highly decomposed state, emitting a strong odour, indicating that death likely occurred two to three days earlier. Kotwali station in-charge Deepak Singh stated that a detailed inspection of the scene was conducted, and the body was handed over to the family late at night after examination.
Family's Anguish and Investigation Details
Relatives informed police that Ravi Singh had been missing for the last three days, and they were actively searching for him. The incident has plunged the family into deep grief. Singh is survived by his young daughter, aged around two to three years, while his father, Kashiram, works as a watchman and is also engaged in farming.
Preliminary investigations by police suggest that the death might be linked to excessive consumption of intoxicants. However, the exact cause of death will only be confirmed after the postmortem report is received. Authorities emphasized that the final determination hinges on the medical examination results.
