Bengaluru: A conman named Sujayendra allegedly posed as a special officer of Union Home Minister Amit Shah to cheat a doctor from Jammu and Kashmir of Rs 2.7 crore in a fraudulent land deal. The police have seized several letters that he used to impersonate the official.

Modus Operandi
Sujayendra posed as a special officer of Amit Shah and used fake letters to convince the victim of his credibility. The doctor, based in Jammu and Kashmir, was lured into investing Rs 2.7 crore in the deal, which turned out to be fraudulent.
The police investigation revealed that Sujayendra had been running this scam for some time, targeting unsuspecting victims. The seized letters are believed to be crucial evidence in the case.
Legal Proceedings
The charge sheet details the fraudulent activities of the accused and the evidence collected by the police. The case is now pending before a local court, where Sujayendra is expected to face trial for cheating and impersonation.
Authorities have urged the public to be cautious of such scams and verify the credentials of individuals claiming to be government officials before entering into any financial transactions.
