According to police reports, the tragedy occurred when Krishna Kumar, along with his friends, ventured into the lake. The boys were wading in the water when young Krishna tragically lost his balance. Despite immediate efforts by his companions, the situation turned fatal.
His friends quickly alerted passersby for help. However, by the time assistance arrived, it was too late. "Though his friends alerted passersby, the boy could not be saved," confirmed the police, underscoring the swift and devastating nature of the accident.
Family Background and Aftermath
Krishna Kumar was a Class III student at the Cheemasandra government school. His family, originally from Gaya in Bihar, had moved to Bengaluru in search of a better life approximately three years ago.
The boy's father, Saravan Pandit, works as a daily wage labourer, highlighting the struggles of migrant families in the city. The family resides in the Cheemasandra locality.
