Chandigarh Police Personnel Honored with Prestigious Republic Day Awards

In a significant recognition of exemplary service, three distinguished officers from the Chandigarh Police force have been selected to receive the prestigious President's Medal on Republic Day. The awards celebrate their outstanding contributions and dedication to maintaining law and order in the union territory.

Recipients of the President's Medal

The honored officers include UT IGP Pushpendra Kumar, a respected 2006-batch IPS officer who assumed his role as Inspector General of Police in Chandigarh in June 2025. Alongside him, Inspector Jasbir Singh, currently serving as the Station House Officer at Maloya police station, will be recognized. Inspector Singh began his career as an assistant sub-inspector on February 11, 1992, demonstrating decades of committed service. Completing the trio is Head Constable Surinder Pal, who is posted at the Sector 36 police station and has shown remarkable dedication in his duties.
