Bhopal: Viral Video Captures Brutal Teen Stabbing at Pool Club Over Old Dispute

A disturbing video that circulated widely on social media platforms on Monday has exposed a violent altercation in Bhopal, where two 16-year-old boys allegedly entered a pool club and attacked another teenager of the same age with a large knife. The incident, which occurred in the Teela Jamalpura area, has prompted swift police action and raised concerns about youth violence.

Graphic Footage Shows Rapid, Repeated Stabbing

The viral video, reportedly shared by the accused themselves on Instagram, depicts a harrowing scene where the two minors are seen repeatedly stabbing the victim, inflicting more than two dozen blows in less than 30 seconds. This brutal assault took place around 9:15 pm on February 15 and is said to have originated from an old dispute between the parties involved.

Police Register Case and Serve Notices to Minor Accused

Teela Jamalpura Police Station has officially registered a case against the two minor accused and served them notices in the presence of their parents. Investigation officer Sub-Inspector Mahipal Singh confirmed that the attack was a direct fallout of a longstanding conflict between the accused and the injured boy. Interestingly, prior to this incident, the victim had allegedly assaulted the accused, highlighting a cycle of retaliation.

Victim's Account Details the Terrifying Ordeal

According to the police report, the complainant, a 16-year-old Class 10 student residing in Gautam Nagar, had gone to watch a pool game on the first floor near Ganesh Chowk in Teela Jamalpura on the night of February 15. While he was seated, the two accused arrived, verbally abused him, and threatened him, accusing him of acting overly dominant in the pool game and vowing to "teach him a lesson."

When the victim objected to the abuse, the situation escalated rapidly. The two allegedly assaulted him with their fists before launching a more severe attack with a sharp-edged weapon. In a desperate attempt to defend himself, the victim used his left hand, resulting in significant injuries to his left palm, fingers, area below the elbow, as well as below the right elbow and on his back. He began bleeding profusely from these wounds.

Intervention by Pool Club Employees and Aftermath

Pool club employees Junaid and Arham intervened promptly, separating the assailants from the victim. Before departing, the accused allegedly issued a chilling threat, warning they would kill him if they saw him again at the pool club. The injured boy later informed his father, who immediately took him to Hamidia Hospital for urgent medical treatment.

Due to the severe injuries sustained to his fingers and palm, the victim was admitted to the hospital and underwent necessary surgery. He was discharged on February 16 and, with his father's support, approached the police station to lodge a formal complaint, leading to the registration of the case on the same day.

Ongoing Investigation and Legal Implications

Sub-Inspector Mahipal Singh emphasized that all three boys involved are 16 years old, classifying them as minors under the law. As the investigation progresses, authorities are considering the inclusion of more stringent sections in the case to address the gravity of the offense. Further inquiries are actively underway to uncover all aspects of this troubling incident and ensure appropriate legal measures are taken.
