The chain of events began when the teenager reportedly used a mobile phone to attract the young girl and lead her into a dilapidated structure. Once inside, he began to undress her. However, the plan was interrupted by alert citizens who noticed the suspicious activity.
A vigilant young man specifically saw the juvenile taking the child into the abandoned building. This immediate recognition triggered a community response. The group swiftly moved in, apprehended the teenage boy, and ensured the girl's safety. Their first call was to the police emergency number, Dial-112, to report the crime.
Police Action and Legal Proceedings
Law enforcement officials responded promptly, transporting both the child and the juvenile to the police station. Assistant Commissioner of Police Anil Bajpai confirmed the sequence of events and praised the role of the vigilant youth.
