Bhind Woman Allegedly Plots Husband's Murder with Lover in Elaborate Staged Robbery
In a shocking case from Bhind, a 23-year-old woman has been accused of conspiring with her lover to murder her husband, with police revealing that the crime was initially staged to appear as a robbery. This incident follows a similar pattern to a recent case reported in Dhar district, highlighting concerning trends in premeditated domestic violence.
Details of the Crime and Investigation
The accused, identified as Ruby, along with her alleged lover Vishal Vimal (21), are currently in police custody. A third suspect, Rajesh Kushwah, who reportedly assisted in the killing, remains absconding as authorities intensify efforts to locate him.
According to Superintendent of Police Asit Yadav, the victim, Nilesh Jatav (27), was fatally shot on April 8 while riding a motorcycle with his wife and their child. Initially, police were informed that unidentified robbers had carried out the attack during what appeared to be a routine family journey.
Ruby claimed that while traveling from Jamna to Kharika, her bag accidentally fell onto the road. She stated that when her husband stopped the motorcycle and she went to retrieve the bag, two men suddenly arrived, shot her husband, and fled the scene. Based on this account, a murder case was registered against unknown persons, and a comprehensive investigation was launched.
Police Uncover the Conspiracy
During the investigation, the wife's statements began to appear suspicious and inconsistent, prompting police to question her more intensively using psychological methods. This approach ultimately led to the case being solved, with authorities alleging that the killing had been meticulously planned in advance.
Police investigations revealed that Ruby had been in a relationship with Vimal, who is reportedly a relative, for nearly seven years. The two maintained regular contact through WhatsApp messaging, with investigators believing that Ruby viewed her husband as an obstacle to continuing this relationship.
According to police allegations, Ruby deliberately dropped her bag at a pre-decided location to force her husband to stop the motorcycle. At that precise moment, Vimal and another associate allegedly emerged and shot the victim, executing what they believed would be perceived as a random robbery.
Evidence Recovered and Similar Cases
Officers have seized significant evidence from the accused, including a 12-bore country-made pistol, empty cartridges, a motorcycle without registration number, and mobile phones. These items are being analyzed as part of the ongoing investigation while police continue their search for the absconding suspect.
This case bears striking resemblance to another incident recently reported in Dhar district, where a woman allegedly plotted her husband's murder with her lover and hired a contract killer. In that instance as well, the perpetrator initially attempted to present the killing as a robbery before confessing during police questioning.
The Bhind case underscores the challenges law enforcement faces in distinguishing between genuine crimes and carefully staged incidents, particularly when family members are involved in the conspiracy. Police emphasize the importance of thorough investigation techniques, including psychological questioning, in uncovering the truth behind such complex cases.
