The false narrative, which circulated extensively on platforms like WhatsApp, alleged that two strangers followed a young boy from his school in Shikaripalya, forcibly placed him on their motorcycle, and held him captive in a house located in the Hebbagodi locality. The post further made sensational claims that police had tracked the suspects using a vehicle registration number, successfully rescued the child, and linked this to a series of four kidnappings within ten days, supposedly connected to organ theft rings operating in Hebbagodi, Shikaripalya, and Electronics City areas.
The message concluded with an urgent warning to parents, advising extreme vigilance and caution against allowing strangers to approach their children. This graphic and detailed account triggered widespread fear and anxiety across local communities, with many forwarding the unverified information.

Bengaluru Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh has categorically stated that the viral report is entirely baseless. "This particular report is baseless. It caused unnecessary panic. No such incidents happened, and our schoolchildren are safe," Commissioner Singh emphasized in his statement to the press. M Narayana, Deputy Commissioner of Police for the Electronics City division, confirmed the legal action, stating, "We booked a case against an unknown person for uploading the post.
