Husband Recounts the Horrific Incident
Suman was accompanied by her husband, Chandan Kumar Choudhary, and their young daughter at the time of the incident. The family was on their way to visit a relative in the Barauni Zero mile area, traveling on foot to reach the main street where they intended to board a vehicle.
Chandan provided a harrowing account of the events: "We were walking when Suman stepped away to a cluster of trees to attend nature's call. Suddenly, four individuals arrived on two motorcycles and opened fire, targeting her directly." He expressed profound grief and shock over the sudden attack that claimed his wife's life in broad daylight.
Assailants Linked to Past Dispute
In his statement to the police, Chandan identified one of the attackers as Dipak Kumar, a resident of the same village. He revealed that Suman had been involved in a quarrel with Dipak approximately one year ago, suggesting that the killing was a direct consequence of this unresolved conflict. "The murder is a fallout of that old quarrel," Chandan asserted, pointing to the deep-seated animosity that led to this tragic outcome.
