A 38-year-old functionary of the Bajrang Dal was brutally stabbed to death by an unidentified assailant at his residence near Pudukkottai on Friday morning. The victim, identified as M Mohanraj, served as a former district president of the Bajrang Dal in Pudukkottai and resided in Thiruvappur with his mother, wife, and three children.

According to police reports, a man from Coimbatore arrived at Mohanraj's home on Friday morning. The two engaged in a conversation while Mohanraj's mother stood outside the house. His wife and children were not present at the time. Suddenly, the visitor drew a knife, stabbed Mohanraj multiple times, and slit his throat, causing fatal injuries.
