Azamgarh Quack Hospital Sealed After Woman's Death

In Azamgarh, Bardah police sealed two hospitals operated by an unqualified individual and arrested him on Friday, following the death of a 32-year-old woman due to alleged improper medical care.

Details of the Incident

According to Azamgarh CO Lalganj Bhupesh Pandey, Chandrasen Yadav ran Om Sai Ram Hospital without any medical qualification, while his son operated Usha Eye Care Centre after completing a B.Pharma degree. An FIR for culpable homicide was lodged, and Chandrasen was taken into custody.

The complaint was filed by Surendra Bind of Khamhauli village under Bardah police station on Thursday night. He stated that after his wife, Poonam, fell ill in the evening, he rushed her to Yadav’s hospital in Muktipur. Despite her condition worsening, Yadav did not refer her to a higher medical centre.
