Auraiya District Shocked by Two Grisly Murders Involving Wives and Lovers
In a shocking series of events that has sent ripples through Auraiya district, two separate murder cases have been uncovered within a single week, both involving wives who allegedly conspired with their lovers to kill their husbands. The local police have demonstrated remarkable investigative prowess by swiftly arresting the accused in both incidents, bringing a measure of closure to the grieving families.
First Case: The Canal Bridge Strangulation
The first tragic incident came to light on January 11, when the body of Shailendra Singh Pal was discovered near the canal embankment between the villages of Kursi and Boochpur. The deceased, a resident of village Kursi and son of the late Ausan Singh Pal, was identified by the Bela police station. Senior officials promptly inspected the crime scene, while the Bela police team, alongside forensic experts, meticulously collected evidence. The body was sent for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
A formal case was registered at the Bela police station based on a complaint filed by the deceased's uncle, Mansingh Pal. Under the leadership of SP Abhishek Bharti, the investigation moved swiftly. Within just three days, the police made a breakthrough. During a routine check at the Bela-Tirwa road border barrier, officers apprehended Avnish Pal and Rinku Katheria.
During interrogation, Avnish confessed to having a physical relationship with Archana, the wife of the deceased Shailendra Singh Pal. Archana herself admitted that she desired to live with Avnish. According to police statements, the trio—Archana, Avnish, and Katheria—devised a plan to eliminate Shailendra. They lured him to the Patna canal bridge, where they offered him alcohol before brutally strangling him to death using a muffler.
Second Case: The Intoxicated Shooting at Home
In a similarly chilling incident, Arvind Kumar, a resident of Mandi Road, was shot dead inside his own home on January 17. Kumar's brother, Ashok, filed a police report against unknown assailants, setting the investigation in motion. The police worked diligently and managed to solve the case on the sixth day by arresting the primary accused, identified as Yogendra Shakya, alias Pappu.
Yogendra, who owns a bag-making shop on Tirwa-Bela Road, revealed to the police that approximately a year ago, he had met Priya, Arvind Kumar's wife, and the two had embarked on an affair. When Arvind became aware of their illicit relationship, he issued a stern warning to both parties. In response, Priya and Yogendra allegedly hatched a plot to murder him.
On the fateful night of January 17, Priya called Yogendra to her house and concealed him in a room. Arvind returned home in an intoxicated state and soon fell asleep. Seizing the opportunity, Yogendra emerged from hiding and shot Arvind with a pistol before fleeing the scene.
