The deceased has been identified as Asmita Solanki, who suffered severe head injuries after the tanker's tyre ran over her. Tragically, she died on the spot. Her cousin, Payal, was injured in her left leg and has been admitted to Civil Hospital in Asarwa for medical treatment. According to the complaint filed by Asmita's father, Sanjay Solanki (45), a resident of the area, the accident took place around 8:30 am on a newly constructed road near their home.

Police Investigation and Legal Action

Sanjay Solanki informed the police that the two girls had stepped out to play when the driver of a water tanker with registration number GJ-01-DZ-7341 reversed the vehicle recklessly, striking both children. Solanki, who had left for work, was notified about the accident by his elder daughter, Varsha, via a phone call. In response, the B Division traffic police have registered a case under multiple sections, including causing death by negligence, endangering life or personal safety, causing hurt and grievous hurt, and rash driving.
