The operation led to the capture of four cadres from the proscribed KCP (People's War Group) on Thursday. They were taken into custody from the Andro Leitanpekpham area located in Imphal East district. A senior police officer stated that security personnel recovered one .32 pistol with a magazine, three .32 live rounds, and two radio sets from their possession.
In a separate action within Imphal West district, three active members of the outlawed KCP (Taibanganba) faction were arrested. They were detained from the Langol Game village Zone-II area. According to the officer, these individuals were temporarily residing at a relief camp in Langol Game village, set up for those displaced by the ongoing conflict.
Adding to the tally, one cadre of the banned KCP (Ibungo Ngangom) faction was apprehended from a farmhouse in the Langol area of Imphal West district. The coordinated operations highlight the continued vigilance of security forces in the region.
