Union Home Minister Amit Shah will preside over a significant ceremony in Panchkula on Wednesday, marking the formal induction of a large batch of newly trained personnel into the Haryana Police force.
Grand Ceremony at Tau Devi Lal Stadium
The passing-out parade for 5,061 constables is scheduled to be held at the Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Panchkula's Sector 3. This grand event is being organized under the aegis of the Haryana Police Academy in Madhuban. Amit Shah will be the chief guest and will take the salute at the parade, lending national importance to the occasion.
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, along with senior police officials, administrative officers, and other dignitaries, will also be present to witness the recruits display their parade drills, discipline, and professional excellence.
An Academically Strong and Diverse Batch
This new batch of police constables stands out for its impressive educational qualifications. Official data reveals a highly educated cohort:
- 969 recruits are postgraduates.
- 3,324 recruits are graduates.
- 768 hold 10+2 or diploma qualifications.
According to A S Chawla, Director of the Haryana Police Academy, many recruits are proficient in Hindi, English, and Punjabi. This multilingual capability is expected to enhance public communication, improve cybercrime handling, and support technology-driven policing initiatives. All recruits have been registered on the Karmayogi Portal for further capacity-building courses.
The batch also reflects growing diversity and gender empowerment. 32 recruits are from other states, and women recruits have achieved top honors. Nishu from Jind secured the Overall First Position, Mohit from Gurugram stood second, and Manjeet Chahal from Hisar came third while also winning the Best Outdoor Trophy.
Rigorous Training and Future Deployment
The constables underwent an intensive and multi-dimensional training program from December 16, 2024, to September 22, 2025. Training was conducted at various centers including Madhuban, PTC Sunaria, RTC Bhondsi, Ambala, and Naval Training Centres.
The curriculum focused on:
- Physical fitness and weapon handling
- Legal awareness and human rights
- Field tactics and disaster management
- Effective public interaction
Following the parade, the newly inducted constables will be deployed across various districts of Haryana. The police administration stated that this induction aims to reinforce public trust through sensitive, accountable, and citizen-centric policing.
Extensive security preparations are in place for the high-profile event. A full traffic rehearsal and thorough inspection of the routes for the home minister and other dignitaries were conducted by police across Chandigarh and Panchkula on Tuesday.
