A devastating high-speed car crash in Saharanpur district resulted in the deaths of four individuals, including three members of the same family, on Saturday evening. The tragic incident occurred near Fatehpur Kala village in the Behat area when the driver lost control of the vehicle.

The Moment of Impact and Eyewitness Account

According to police reports, the car was navigating a sharp bend on Shakambhari Road when the driver failed to maintain control. The vehicle first collided with an iron pole by the roadside before violently slamming into a tree. The impact was so powerful that two occupants were ejected from the car, while the other two remained trapped inside the mangled wreckage.

Eyewitness Sanjay Chauhan, a resident of Fatehpur Kalan, described a harrowing scene. He stated the car was travelling at an excessively high speed and the crash produced a deafening, explosion-like sound that alerted the entire vicinity.

Rescue Efforts and Official Statement

Local residents and police personnel rushed to the site immediately after the accident. They faced significant challenges in retrieving the bodies from the severely damaged car, with the operation lasting a considerable amount of time.

Circle Officer Vaibhav Pandey confirmed the primary cause of the accident. "Police confirmed that overspeeding led to the accident. The car first hit an iron pole standing by the roadside and then crashed into a tree on Shakambhari Road," Pandey stated, highlighting the dangers of reckless driving.
