A grand passing out parade marked the culmination of rigorous training for 385 new constables of the Border Security Force (BSF) at the Subsidiary Training Centre in Indore on Friday. The two batches participated in the impressive ceremony, ready to embark on their duty of safeguarding the nation's frontiers and internal security.
Grand Parade and Oath of Allegiance
The parade was reviewed by Chief Guest Inspector General Alok Kumar Singh. He was accompanied by Second-in-Command (Training) Shailesh Kumar Mishra and Commandant (Chief Instructor) Bhalendu Trivedi. The parade was commanded by Gaurav, who led the fresh recruits in a disciplined display.
In a solemn and pivotal moment, all 385 new constables took an oath before the chief guest, with the national flag as their witness. They pledged to uphold the unity, integrity, and sovereignty of the nation as enshrined in the Constitution.
44 Weeks of Intensive and Diverse Training
According to an official release, the newly graduated personnel underwent an exhaustive 44-week training program. The curriculum was designed to forge them into capable and resilient security personnel. Their training encompassed a wide array of critical skills:
- Proficiency in handling various weapons and marksmanship.
- Physical training, drill, and field craft.
- Essential techniques like map reading and border surveillance.
- Advanced combat skills and the art of countering terrorism and insurgency.
The training also included special modules focused on personality development and character building, ensuring all-round preparedness for their challenging roles.
Deployment and Recognition of Excellence
As a result of this comprehensive training, these constables will now be deployed to perform critical duties. They will be stationed at various international borders and also contribute to the internal security apparatus of the country.
Following the formal parade, the new constables presented a vibrant cultural program. The event featured energetic performances of Bhangra and displays of Mallakhamb, showcasing their physical prowess and cultural spirit.
IG Alok Kumar Singh congratulated the passing out batches and recognized those who excelled during their training. He presented medals and certificates of appreciation to constables who demonstrated extraordinary performance and dedication throughout the 44-week regimen.
