A horrific incident has shaken the Chakan area of Pune, where a three-year-old boy was allegedly sodomised and murdered on Friday. The minor accused, who was attempting to flee to Bihar after committing the crime, was apprehended by the police from the Pune railway station.
Victim's Mother Files Complaint
According to police officials, the victim's mother, a daily wage labourer residing in the Chakan area, filed a complaint with the Mahalunge police station. Based on her complaint, a case of murder has been registered against the minor boy. The Pimpri Chinchwad crime branch is investigating the matter.
Incident Details
The incident came to light on Friday afternoon when the woman's three-year-old son went missing. A frantic search led to the discovery of the boy's body in a room in their neighbourhood. The boy's throat had been slit with a knife, and there were signs of sexual assault.
Accused Apprehended
The suspect, a minor, was later traced and detained at the Pune railway station while attempting to board a train to Bihar. The police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The investigation is ongoing, and the police are gathering evidence to build a strong case against the accused. The local community has expressed shock and outrage over the incident, demanding strict action against the perpetrator.
