In a significant development, the Dhanbad police have cracked the high-profile murder case of notorious Bihar-based criminal Prem Yadav. The authorities have successfully arrested three individuals believed to be directly involved in the brazen daylight shooting that occurred last month.
Arrests Made Across States
City SP Ritvik Srivastava, while addressing the media, revealed the cross-state operation that led to the captures. Two of the accused, identified as Rohit Kumar Singh and Kunal Kumar, were apprehended from Kolhapur in Maharashtra. In a simultaneous action, the third accused, Akash Kumar, was arrested from the Vaishali district in Bihar. The arrests mark a crucial step in solving the crime that took place at Katras More in Jharia on November 18.
Recreating the Crime Scene
Investigations by the Dhanbad police have established a clear sequence of events. According to officials, the three arrested men are the same assailants who arrived at the scene on a motorcycle. They openly shot Prem Yadav in public before fleeing from the location, causing panic. The meticulous police work following the incident led to tracing the suspects across state lines.
Critical Evidence Recovered
The breakthroughs did not stop at the arrests. Based on disclosures made by the accused during interrogation, the police have managed to recover crucial physical evidence linked to the murder. The firearm used in the crime, the motorcycle involved in the incident, and the clothes worn by the accused on the day of the murder have all been seized. This recovery strengthens the case against the arrested individuals and provides concrete proof of their involvement.
Police officials have confirmed that the investigation remains active. Further probes are underway to identify any other possible links or accomplices connected to the crime, suggesting the possibility of a larger conspiracy behind the targeted killing. The Dhanbad police's coordinated effort highlights a major success in tackling inter-state criminal activities.
