District panel for loan waiver scheme set up

The Maharashtra state government has constituted a five-member panel under the chairmanship of district collectors for the implementation of the Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Shetkari Karjmukti Yojana 2026. This panel is tasked with publishing the list of beneficiaries as per the specified criteria, declaring the list of bank accounts not linked to Aadhaar, and organizing camps for registering farmers under Agristack-farmers ID and Aadhaar authentication.

Second Panel After Ministerial Sub-Committee

This is the second panel formed after the ministerial sub-committee under Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, which was appointed for the implementation of the loan waiver scheme. The district-level panel will include representatives from banks, such as the chief executive officer of district central cooperative banks, the manager of the District Lead Bank, the district coordinator of commercial banks, and the district sub-registrar of cooperative societies as member secretary.

Tenure and Reporting

The tenure of the panel will be co-terminus with the implementation of the loan waiver scheme. District collectors are required to submit progress reports on the implementation of the scheme to the state government and the cooperative department.
