Prayagraj Commemorates Fire Services Day with Solemn Tributes and City-Wide Safety Campaigns

On Tuesday, the Fire and Emergency Services Commissionerate in the Sangam city of Prayagraj observed Fire Services Commemoration Day across all its fire stations. This annual event, which aligns with Fire Service Week on April 14, carried the powerful theme: "Safe School, Safe Hospital & Fire Safety Aware Society – Together for Fire Prevention." The theme underscores the critical need for collaborative efforts to bolster fire safety, especially in vulnerable settings like educational institutions and healthcare facilities, while fostering a proactive culture of prevention throughout the community.

Memorial Parade and Tributes to Fallen Heroes

The commemoration began with a solemn memorial parade, where officers and personnel gathered to honor the sacrifices of martyred firefighters. Participants paid floral tributes and observed a respectful two-minute silence in memory of those who lost their lives in the line of duty. In a symbolic gesture, commemorative flags were pinned onto the uniforms of everyone involved in the parade, signifying unity and remembrance.

Leadership Address and Rally for Awareness

Chief Fire Officer (Prayagraj) Chandra Mohan Sharma addressed the assembly, praising the unwavering dedication and hard work of the fire service personnel. He encouraged them to continue executing their responsibilities with the highest levels of commitment and integrity. Following his speech, CFO Sharma officially flagged off a fire safety awareness rally. This rally traversed multiple areas within the jurisdictions of various local fire stations, spreading crucial safety messages to the public.
