Madhya Pradesh Officials Laud Telangana's Praja Vani, Aim to Adopt Model
A high-level delegation of tahsildars from Madhya Pradesh recently visited Hyderabad to study CM Praja Vani, the Telangana government's innovative public grievance redressal platform. The visiting officials expressed strong admiration for the system's operations and announced concrete plans to replicate this successful model in their own state. During their visit, the team highlighted the platform's efficiency and transparency, describing it as an inspiration for the entire nation.
Platform Performance and Recent Session Data
State authorities provided detailed statistics about the platform's performance. During Friday's Praja Vani session alone, officials received 380 applications from citizens seeking resolution to various issues. Since its inception, the government has completed an impressive 213 sessions, demonstrating consistent engagement and operational capacity.
G Chinna Reddy, the officer in charge of Praja Vani, revealed that the initiative has achieved a remarkable 74% resolution rate for submitted grievances. "The initiative has been a huge success, and we remain committed to making it even more efficient and responsive to public needs," Reddy stated emphatically.
Comprehensive Support Services for Applicants
The platform offers multiple support facilities to ensure applicants receive thorough assistance. These include:
- A dedicated help desk for initial guidance and documentation support
- On-site medical camps providing healthcare services during sessions
- Various other support services tailored to applicant needs
Officials from diverse government departments participate directly in these sessions, addressing grievances across multiple sectors including revenue, housing, and other critical areas. This multidisciplinary approach ensures comprehensive problem-solving.
Positive Feedback and Commitment to Improvement
Both applicants and visiting officials have reported overwhelmingly positive feedback about the platform's effectiveness. State nodal officer Divya Devarajan emphasized the government's ongoing commitment: "We're working systematically to ensure that every application receives prompt and effective attention. The support from our officials and the public has been truly overwhelming and motivates us to continually enhance our processes."
The Madhya Pradesh delegation's visit underscores growing inter-state interest in Telangana's governance innovations. Their planned replication of the Praja Vani model suggests this approach may become a benchmark for public grievance redressal systems across India, promoting greater transparency and citizen engagement in governmental processes.
