Kanpur District Administration Confirms Ample LPG Cylinder Supply Amid Consumer Concerns
In a firm statement addressing public anxieties, Kanpur District Magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh has categorically denied any shortage of LPG cylinders within the district. "We have an adequate supply of gas here," Singh emphasized, seeking to reassure residents about the availability of this essential domestic fuel.
Supply Data Shows Consistent Delivery Increase
Supporting this assertion, District Supply Officer Rakesh Kumar provided detailed figures, revealing a positive trend in daily cylinder distributions. According to Kumar, from February 1 to February 11, approximately 20,000 cylinders were supplied each day. This number saw a notable rise between March 1 and March 12, with the average daily supply increasing to more than 21,000 cylinders.
The government is continuously monitoring the gas supply system to ensure smooth operations and prevent disruptions, officials noted. This proactive oversight aims to maintain a steady flow of LPG to meet household demands across Kanpur.
Consumer Complaints Prompt Swift Administrative Action
Despite the official assurances, several consumers reported delays in receiving their domestic gas cylinders. Specific complaints were registered by:
- Anwar Siddiqui from Rawatpur
- Arjun Nishad from Chaubepur
- Kamlesh Lal Kori from the Kalyanpur area
In response, the district administration directed the concerned gas agencies to address these issues promptly. Following these directives, home delivery of cylinders was arranged for the affected consumers, demonstrating the system's responsiveness to individual grievances.

- WhatsApp: 92 complaints received, with 17 successfully resolved.
In total, 79 complaints have been resolved through these efforts, highlighting the administration's commitment to addressing consumer concerns efficiently.
