Haryana: 3 IAS Officers Get New Postings Within 24 Hours

The Haryana government issued fresh transfer and posting orders on Friday, June 26, 2026, reassigning three IAS officers within 24 hours of their previous postings. The rapid reshuffle affected officers from the 2010, 2013, and 1997 batches.

Prabhjot Singh's Third Posting in Two Days

Prabhjot Singh, a 2010-batch IAS officer, was initially serving as Director-General of Technical Education. On June 25, he was transferred to the post of Director General of State Transport. However, just one day later, on June 26, he received a new posting as Director-General of Environment and Secretary of the Environment, Forests and Wildlife Department.

S Narayanan Returns to Higher Education

S Narayanan, a 1997-batch Indian Forest Service officer, had been serving as Director-General and Secretary of the Higher Education Department. On June 25, he was posted as Director-General of Environment and Secretary of Environment, Forests and Wildlife. But on Friday, he was transferred back to his previous role: Director-General of Higher Education Department and Secretary of Higher Education Department. He will also hold additional charge of Director-General of Technical Education.

Virender Kumar Dahiya's Reversal

Virender Kumar Dahiya, a 2013-batch IAS officer, was holding multiple charges including Director of Environment, Special Secretary of Environment, Forests and Wildlife Department, and Director of State Transport. On June 25, he received orders to become Director of Higher Education and Special Secretary of Higher Education Department, as well as Director of Technical Education. However, on Friday, he was reverted to his previous role as Director of State Transport.

The reasons for the rapid back-and-forth transfers were not officially explained. The orders were issued by the Haryana government's personnel department late Friday evening.
