Gumla Launches LPG Grievance Cell for Public Complaints

Gumla Administration Establishes Dedicated LPG Grievance Redressal Cell

In a significant move to address public concerns, the Gumla administration in Jharkhand has officially constituted a specialized grievance redressal cell (GRC) specifically for handling complaints related to LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) supply. This initiative aims to streamline the process for residents facing issues with their cooking gas distribution.

Key Appointments and Operational Details

The newly formed cell will be led by Gumla block supply officer Sangeeta Kerketta, who has been appointed as the senior officer in charge. Additionally, six government functionaries have been deputed to support the cell's operations, ensuring a robust team to manage public grievances effectively.

The administration has issued a public appeal, encouraging citizens to lodge their complaints with the GRC during operational hours. The cell will be accessible from 10 am to 5 pm every day, with exceptions on official holidays and Sundays. This schedule is designed to provide consistent and reliable support to the community.

Complaint Lodging Procedures and Assurance

To facilitate easy access, the administration has outlined multiple methods for submitting complaints. Residents can either contact the deputed government functionaries via their mobile numbers or submit a written application along with a photocopy of their gas booking document. This dual approach ensures that both tech-savvy and traditional users can report issues without hassle.

The administration has assured the public of quick redressal for all lodged complaints, emphasizing their commitment to resolving LPG-related problems promptly. This proactive measure is expected to enhance customer satisfaction and reduce delays in gas supply.

Background and Administrative Efforts

Gumla Deputy Commissioner Prerna Dixit highlighted the district administration's ongoing efforts to ensure smooth LPG distribution. "The district administration has been holding regular meetings with gas agencies to ensure hassle-free supply of LPG and avoid unnecessary queues for cylinders," she stated. These meetings are part of a broader strategy to improve coordination between authorities and suppliers, ultimately benefiting end-users.

The establishment of the GRC follows these collaborative efforts, serving as a direct channel for public feedback and issue resolution. By addressing complaints systematically, the administration aims to mitigate common problems such as supply disruptions and long waiting times.

This initiative reflects the administration's dedication to public welfare and efficient governance, particularly in essential services like LPG distribution. As Gumla continues to focus on social and developmental issues, this cell is poised to play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for its residents.
