Ghaziabad's Hindon Elevated Road Set for Major Connectivity Boost with New Ramps
The Uttar Pradesh government has given the green light for a significant infrastructure upgrade in Ghaziabad, approving the construction of two additional ramps on the Hindon Elevated Road. This move is expected to dramatically improve traffic flow and accessibility for commuters in the region.
Financial Approval and Project Details
The Ghaziabad Development Authority had submitted a request for Rs 112 crore to fund this ambitious project, which has now been sanctioned by the state administration. With the financial backing secured, the authority is poised to advance to the next phases of implementation, marking a critical step forward in urban development.
Each of the two new ramps will measure approximately 400 metres in length and feature two lanes, designed to facilitate smoother entry and exit from the elevated road. These additions are specifically targeted at enhancing connectivity from the Vasundhara and Kanawani neighborhoods, addressing long-standing commuter concerns.
Strategic Locations and Implementation Timeline
Officials have identified the Vasundhara and Kanawani sides of the Hindon Elevated Road as the optimal locations for these ramps. This strategic placement aims to streamline access for residents and travelers from these areas, reducing congestion and travel times.
The approval enables the Ghaziabad Development Authority to initiate the tendering process imminently. Once contracts are awarded, construction is slated to commence, with an anticipated completion date set for next year.
